Denise & Jeff - 4.26.08

Denise has great taste, and I'm not just saying that because it's a lot like mine. Her colors were raspberry hot pink, chocolate brown, and chartreuse. Denise has more knowledge about flowers than most, and she picked blooms that she really loved. We used hot pink and chartreuse Hydrangea, hot pink Roses and Ranunculus, and chocolate Cymbidium orchids, and a few other accents here and there. It was a real pleasure to work with Denise and Jeff, and to meet their family and friends. Thanks Denise...lets keep in touch!

I Love Peonies!

I absolutely love Peonies. The only thing I don't love about them is that they're not available year round. These Peonies are from my yard. Some of the biggest ones were bigger than my outstretched hand. If I could fill my front yard with them without looking like a freak, I would do it. They're glorious.

We have so many weddings to post, and we will as soon as possible. Things are busy with all of us being in the throws of wedding season, but we will post as often as possible to keep you in the loop on all the glorious wedding details.

Glorious Pink!

Don't these look like a big fluffy mound of cotton candy? We used pale pink Hydrangea, pale and medium pink Peonies and very pale pink roses. More to come...things are getting really busy with the wedding season, but I'm going to try and keep up to date on my blog so that you can check out the latest wedding flower trends!

Cincinnati Wedding Magazine Summer 2008 Photo Shoot

Sneak Peak

This is just a sneak peak at the Cincinnati Wedding Magazine Summer 2008 Edition which will be on newstands in June. The theme is retro-modern, and the setting was Union Terminal. The bouquet in the picture contained about 50 white tulips, and it was tied with a slate blue and ivory satin ribbons and cinched with a vintage brooch. I hope they publish some up close shots of it, because it was stunning. Look for Cincinnat Wedding on news stands this June!

Cool Vases

I walked into West Elm (love it!) the other day at the Kenwood Mall, and their displays are fantastic. They really have a way with design, decor, and just general good style. They offer so many cool vases and containers, and one of my couples from last summer used some of them in their wedding. It was an elegant yet simple way to do table decorations, and if I can get some pictures from their photog, I will post them. Sometimes a really unique and stylish vase with simple blooms can be just enough to make your table display fabulous. I've included some pictures of vases that I think contribute to a beautiful centerpiece just as much as the flowers. The first picture is a picture of vases from West Elm. The second are vases (some of which I sell in my shop) that I thought were really unique as well, and could easily create a fab centerpiece.
